Francesco Ciusa, sculptor, born in Nuoro the 2nd of July 1883. His plastic language originates and takes inspiration from the historical drama of the Sardinian people, to advance with intelligence and sensitivity into the painful and abyssal depths of a humanity dominated by an archaic culture, primitive, marginalized by contemporary life. In this timelessness is placed the "La madre dell'ucciso", his most relevant work, which was exhibited at the Venice Biennale in 1907, obtaining important awards.
